When you create an account: your name, email address, a password (stored only as a one-way hash), what you are here to do, and optionally your business and main service. When you list a business: the details, prices, photos and booked dates you enter. When you post a brief: the event details, budget, city and roles, and the name you choose to show. When you send an enquiry: your name, email address, message and any date and guest numbers. When you leave a review: your rating, your words, your display name and optionally your organisation. When you use the contact form: your name, email address and message.
Listings, approved briefs and approved reviews are public. An enquiry, including your email address, goes to the supplier or organiser you send it to so they can reply. Your email address is never shown on a listing, a brief or a review. We do not sell personal data or share it with advertisers.
To provide the service you asked for: your account, delivering enquiries and replies, and publishing what you choose to publish. To keep the site safe: we check new listings, briefs and reviews before they appear, and we limit repeated sign-in and form attempts.
If you choose “Use my location”, your browser asks your permission first. Your position is rounded to about a kilometre and placed in the page address to sort the results. We do not save it, though like any page address it can appear in our hosting provider’s access logs.
Your shortlist and saved briefs are kept in your browser’s local storage. If you are signed in they are also kept with your account so they follow you between devices, and signing out removes them from that browser.
We set cookies only to keep you signed in. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.
Our hosting provider stores the site and its data and sends our email on our behalf. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts and maps from OpenStreetMap, so those services receive your IP address when a page loads.
For as long as your account is open. Delete your account from your dashboard and we remove your account, listing, briefs, photos and reviews straight away. Enquiries you sent stay with the people you sent them to. Security counters are kept for at most an hour, and store only a scrambled form of your IP address.
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, object to how we use it, or ask us to delete it. We respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
